To date Life Unchained has raised over $25,000 to fund first-time service projects in the Philadelphia area, as well as to benefit local non-profit agencies.
A brief list of the organizations Life Unchained has helped includes the following:
- The Animal Rescue Foundation of Southeastern Pennsylvania
- The American Red Cross
- Local homeless shelters
- Northern Home for Children
- PhilAbundance
- The Salvation Army
- Women in Transition
Life Unchained has also completely funded two brand new projects in the Philadelphia area: an urban garden at Covenant House in Germantown and a first-time exit program at the same homeless shelter.
In the coming months, Life Unchained will also continue to fund a variety of other new projects.
The
organization continues to expand on its mission of supplying seed money to individuals with great service project ideas, and the group plans to fund ten new projects by the beginning of the new year.
Those who are familiar with their neighborhoods are often best equiped to address issues in their areas, and we hope that we can help people continue to make a difference in their parts of the world.
